Part II is here, with the no other than Derek Lam! New York Fashion Week is still on in full swing and I can’t keep up!!! I may just do multiple posts and weekend posts to keep up with everything!
One thing I have to say about Derek Lam’s runway show was the shoes…. oh my gosh the shoes!!!! I instantly fell in love with all of them! Derek Lam decided to go a different route this year and not follow the rest of the designers with monochromatic looks, instead, he went with prints.

CHLOE Coats from London

Not surprisingly, the British weather has been entirely unpredictable this year.  Although it’s sweltering this week, last week I was tracking down a pair of winter ankle boots. So I’m going to continue crafting the perfect winter wardrobe and pouring through the R-T-W AW12 shows (with the aid of my trusty Elle Collections Magazine). Meet Chloe, or perhaps her coats.  Clare Waight Keller’s second show, was a safe success, appealing to the typical ‘Chloe Girl’ but not pushing any boundaries or generating the impact that Sarah Burton has in her first few terms in Alexander McQueen. What better way to pull yourself out of the winter blues than with a coat in Chloe’s infamous neutral pastel shades. I’m holding out for the high street’s take on these marvels. If anyone knows where I can find a coat similar to this one, I would be forever grateful for a heads up!

New York 2012/2013 Fashion Week: The Winter Collection by New York based designer, Marc Jacobs was really … Crazy! It was like 18-17th century fashion mixed with 21st century street style! This fashion week show hosted lots of colors, interesting patterns and some funny looking heels. And the best of all were the too big sized hats made out of fur or other materials. It is worth to mention that the coats that are presented will be the most hottest pieces for winter. Bohemian story through the New York designer Marc Jacobs, who presented his latest collection autumn / winter 2012-2013 in the last Fashion Week in New York.

Here’s a picture taken by Ben of VanStreet – thought I’d post it up. Kind of caught me off guard when Ben approached me and asked to take a photo of my outfit. I was just taking a fifteen minute breather outside of the store when he approached me. I obviously don’t dress any different from my work life. It was also the first day I wore my new Patrik Ervell jacket out. Got it for 70% off, what a steal! It’s a ladies baseball jacket – the body is cotton, the collar, base and cuff are silk. I’m also loving the japanese-esque dragonfly print. You’ll see it again in a later post I’m sure!

MARIA CORNEJO: RTW Fall 2011 "Elegance"

Her collections have always been about eccentricity, and for fall Maria Cornejo articulated that sentiment better than ever with a very strong collection of quirks and contrasts: stiff borders on fluid dresses; clean-lined jackets with gentle volume in back, and a devil-may-care attitude about mixing proportions and shapes. Whether it was culottes and shorts with terrific leather jackets, feathered hand-knit sweaters and long skirts or dresses in amusing prints — fur, hair or even the bookshelves of a friend’s library — it was clear that Cornejo had fun doing her thing while considering the ecological impact of her choices. This season she used a fabric made from recycled casette tapes for evening looks, but she also demonstrated her serious side of luxury with beautiful llama coats and bold graphic jacquard dresses and jackets.
