paris fashion weekPARIS FASHION WEEK starts today – an epic nine-day-long marathon that ends next Wednesday. It’s the mother of all fashion capitals, the home of fashion’s biggest and oldest names, from Chanel and Dior to Balenciaga and Givenchy. If energy levels are beginning to wane among the fashion press, who have now been on the move for three weeks, Paris is always certain to inject a new verve. –> Instagrams of #PFW

The action gets underway today with Anthony Vaccarello – who is rumoured to be Versus’s next collaborator. His sexy, skin-tight dresses are a given though, and we look forward to seeing them worn by his model muse, Karlie Kloss, who is a regular on his catwalk. Wednesday’s big show is Rochas and all eyes will be on creative director Marco Zanini, who is rumoured to be leaving for recently-revived fashion house Schiaparelli

Party Show Fashion Week with Illustrator Nicolas Tavitian

Fashion Week Paris WORLD EXCLUSIVE for Style Voyeur, a conversation with Parisian Illustrator, Nicolas Tavitian – as he takes us inside a Paris Fashion Week show!
Above & Below: Lanvin Fall/Winter 2012 show
At Paris Fashion Week we asked Nicolas, you were on Style Voyeur back in 2010 (see here), how did you get to know Style Voyeur? I don’t remember anymore how I got to know Style Voyeur. I can’t help thinking it is my curiosity which drove me to your blog. But I can still remember what I thought about your pictures and your words the first time I glanced at them, which is more important. I was intrigued because I found that the people you photographed had a very relaxed attitude, looking satisfied and happy to be there, happy to show at fashion week, what they did or their outfits. It was like pictures taken during a party, not during what could be considered in Paris as a working moment. It was cooler. It told me something about Perth but also something about the Paris show.
This is a major fashion week scoop for me, one that I am very blessed to share with my readers, how is it that you're able to give StyleVoyeur such an EXCLUSIVE? I Read more…

Probably not. But yesterday in Paris Jean Paul Gaultier chose to do just that. Who was THE Supermodel of Paris Runways?

Karlie Kloss was Paris Fashion Week’s Top Model

This year’s Paris Fashion Week included special cameos by supermodels like Kate Moss, who closed what might be Marc Jacobs’s final collection at Louis Vuitton, and Gisele Bündchen‘s close for Givenchy. Meanwhile, Natalia Vodianova had the honors of opening for the latter show, and also bookmarked Stella McCartney’s runway. Yet the dominance of Karlie Kloss cannot be denied. The 19-year-old American, who’s getting more mature bookings by the day, landed the opening slots at Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano as well as the closing slots at Christian Dior, Lanvin, Elie Saab, Gareth Pugh, and Roland Mouret. See all of Karlie’s looks in the slideshow.
