Bright knitwear, multifunctional garments, and textured layering pieces are the sound of the season for M. Patmos who revealed its fall 2012 eco-fashion collection on Thursday.

 
©Emma Grady says: “I think everything in the collection is something you can wear right now,” Patmos told TreeHugger. “That’s the goal really, to find something new that you just want to buy because you don’t have that exact thing but want a new, unique version of it.” Read more…

Beverly Hills ‘Il Teatro alla Moda’ begins

LOS ANGELES, California: 

“Il Teatro alla Moda,” through Nov. 13, 253 N. Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills. Noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $10; children under 12 and students with valid ID are free. Admission on Wednesdays is FREE. Features more than 50 original costumes made for theater, opera and ballet since 1980. Eleven Italian designers are represented, including Missoni, Giorgio Armani, Alberta Ferretti and Valentino. These special pieces exemplify the kind of craftsmanship that continues to make the “Made in Italy” stamp so prestigious, even if that stamp is more often found on leather goods today.
