Colorful Masks by Russian Designer @ F/W Gala

Models displayed impressive creations by Russian designer Konstantin Gayday during the Volvo Fashion Week in Moscow, Russia, on Oct 31, 2011.  The remarkable costume construction with perfect geometry, cuts and choice of colors was a bit hit at the Fashion Week.  Also, his eclectic experiments with ethnic prints, neon colours, feathers and beads were widely appreciated, along with bizarre yet mesmerizing costumes teamed with attractive bright masks covering the models’ faces. Beverly Hills ‘Il Teatro alla Moda’ begins

LOS ANGELES, California: 

“Il Teatro alla Moda,” through Nov. 13, 253 N. Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills. Noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $10; children under 12 and students with valid ID are free. Admission on Wednesdays is FREE. Features more than 50 original costumes made for theater, opera and ballet since 1980. Eleven Italian designers are represented, including Missoni, Giorgio Armani, Alberta Ferretti and Valentino. These special pieces exemplify the kind of craftsmanship that continues to make the “Made in Italy” stamp so prestigious, even if that stamp is more often found on leather goods today.
