I Hate My Collection about the venerable art college Central Saint Martin’s has just been brought to our attention, by the clever old
Susie Bubble on her blog. So far we like everything about the trailer, from the
David Bowie soundtrack, to the archive footage of crazy old Eighties collections, to the camp institutions such as
Antony Price and
Manolo Blahnik being interviewed for it.
Stephen Jones claimed he went there after calculating how close it was to Piccadilly Circus – ‘the very centre of London’ – while
Antonio Berardi described ruefully how ‘every other
fashion college hated us’. – -
