The ART of “Simplifying” What Is …!

Dutch born Artist Piet Mondrian, had a way of keeping the viewer interested in whatever he managed to display in his work. He took the voyeur respectively to places only the artist found suitable for speculation. Nowhere! Still, we engaged, then and Now.

Monsieur Yves St. Laurent was obviously fascinated with Mondrian’s concept and ideas about how we see Art. With this in mind, St. Laurent had a fields day in the 1960′s creating  a number of collections which exemplified Mondrian’s paintings that included a very linear look of the Artist’s canvas. St. Laurent’s  legacy and the business of fashion,  will always be wanting more of these dresses and looks. This is true today, as we still see the concept popping up on occasions. My name for this is “Basimpleness”.  This is what makes for all that is CLASS-IC.
